This reduction print of a starling was created by carving a natural linoleum block and hand printing it onto traditional papers using rich-colored non-toxic inks. This is an original piece of art made in an edition of 13 total prints. Because this is a reduction print, the block is carved down more and more for each layer of color, resulting in a unique limited edition that cannot be added to. Print is signed, numbered, and titled.
"Starling" was hand carved and printed in the beginning of 2024 in Bend, Oregon.
Traditional Printmaking paper - this variation was hand printed onto 30 gsm kitakata paper, a thin but strong traditional Japanese paper made from Phillipine gampi. This paper has a green tone and a subtle translucency. The paper measures 8" x 10" making this print easy to fit in a standard-sized frame without any matting or resizing. This print does not come with a frame or matting.

Every monitor or mobile display has a different capability to display colors, and every individual may see these colors differently. In addition, lighting conditions at the time the photo was taken can also affect an image's color.
